SAN LUIS, AZ (CBS5) -

A man and a teenage boy were arrested in separate incidents where they tried to smuggle methamphetamine into the U.S. near San Luis by taping it to their legs over the Labor Day weekend.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested Mario Alberto Salgado Trejo, 25, Friday after officers said they found 1.2 pounds of methamphetamine taped to his thighs. The estimated value was $18,600.

A 17-year-old was arrested by border agents on Saturday after a drug-sniffing dog detected drugs. A search revealed almost 2 pounds of meth valued at $23,870 found taped to his thighs.

Both suspects were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
