Man accused of sexually assaulting 6-year-old girl

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Enoree man faces charges after deputies say he was seen performing sex acts on a 6-year-old girl in his care.

Arthur Martin, 31, is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under age 11.

According to incident reports, a neighbor witnessed the sexual assault happening outside the child's home on Wednesday and called deputies.

The girl's mother says Martin was supposed to be babysitting the child, the report said.

Martin is currently being held in the Spartanburg County Detention Center on no bond for the sexual conduct charge.
