GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police said a man who stole $75,000 worth of electronics from several downtown businesses last month has struck again.

On Wednesday, police said they were called to businesses at 550 S. Main St. where several burglaries had happened. They said laptops were among the items stolen during the break-ins.

Police said they believe the man who is responsible for the recent rash of break-ins is the same man who stole more than 30 laptops from businesses along Broad Street at the end of August.

Sgt. Jason Rampey of the Greenville Police Department said then that surveillance video showed the man walking through a secured area, where he should not have been. He said the man was dragging rolling luggage, which could easily store stolen computers and not raise suspicion as he left through the adjoining Marriott Hotel.

Police ask anyone with information about any of the burglaries to call Greenville County Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME (864-232-7463).
