A Weaverville man was arrested Wednesday after deputies said he shot another man several times.
The shooting happened about 1:45 p.m. at 35 Good Neighbor Ridge Rd.
Deputies said that when they arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They said the man was taken to Mission Hospital in Asheville for treatment.
Matthew Buckner, 33, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was being held in jail on $110,000 bond.
The victim was listed in good condition.
