TGIF! It's going to be another nice day, but changes are coming. We'll be able to give the sunglasses a break and get the umbrellas back out for the early part of next week. That means those of you who have been waiting for some rain will get it! Here's the forecast breakdown:
TODAY: Partly cloudy with an isolated PM shower or storm in the Mountains. Upstate and NE GA areas will stay dry. The humidity will stay low and comfortable, with seasonal highs. Temperatures will reach the upper 70s in WNC and the low/mid 80s in the Upstate.
SATURDAY: Humidity will stay comfortable, so it will be much more pleasant for those of you in the stands at Clemson tomorrow! Highs will be slightly warmer than today, but it will still be near-normal (highs hit the mid 80s in the Upstate and upper 70s in WNC). We'll stay partly cloudy and almost all areas will stay dry - there's only a slight chance of a Mountain shower or storm during the afternoon.
SUNDAY: Skies will stay partly cloudy, with a little better chance of wet weather during the afternoon. With that said, we'll only watch for a 20% chance of a shower/storm in the Upstate. In the Mountains, a few hit-or-miss storms will likely develop through the PM hours. Temps will cool a bit, but will still be seasonal - ranging from the mid 70s to low 80s. Humidity will nudge up a bit but won't be oppressive.
MONDAY & TUESDAY: A low pressure system will track northeastward from the Gulf Coast, while a cold front approaches from the west. This will bring us a much higher chance of rain for the start of next week - with some heavy downpours possible at times. Cloud cover will take over these days, so expect a gloomy look outside. Temperatures will range from the low/mid 70s in WNC to the upper 70s in the Upstate.
WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY: Behind the cold front, drier and cooler air will settle back in. This means we'll get back to sunny skies and low humidity. Temperatures also look like they'll cool, and afternoon highs in the 70s will be awesome!
