CLEMSON, SC (AP/FOX Carolina) -

Sammy Watkins earned a 58-yard touchdown in his season debut as Clemson beat Furman 41-7 on Saturday.

The No. 11 Tigers earned their 30th straight win against the Paladins, with a lot of help from quarterback Tajh Boyd.

Boyd threw for 310 yards and three touchdown passes during the game. Boyd's three scoring throws gave him 43 for his career, second all-time at Clemson.

Andre Ellington added a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Tigers.

Fans were most excited to see Watkins in action for the first time this season.

The All-American sophomore receiver was suspended during the first two games following a May drug arrest. He finished with four catches for 52 yards.

Jordan Snellings scored the only touchdown for Furman.

This season is the first time the Paladins have had a 0-3 start since 1979.
