ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
An Anderson County man is recovering after being shot in the thigh Sunday during an attempted robbery.
Deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office said that the man was walking along Zebulon Drive near Jerry Drive in Homeland Park about 9 p.m. when another man approached him, demanding his wallet.
The victim said he didn't have a wallet, and that's when deputies said he was shot in the thigh. Deputies said the suspect then ran to a red Honda and took off.
The victim's wound was superficial, according to deputies.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his 20s, wearing a green and yellow striped shirt, and blue jeans.
