ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Four photos taken during a violent attempted robbery at an Anderson restaurant Monday morning were released on Tuesday.

The robbery happened about 5:40 a.m. at the Waffle House restaurant on Highway 28 Bypass.

Deputies said that two men, covering their heads with shirts, walked into the restaurant and ordered everyone to get on the floor. They said one of the men, who was armed with a shotgun, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded she open the cash register. They said that when the employee told the armed man she did not know how to open the register, the man fired a single shot. The pair then fled the scene, deputies said.

On Tuesday, deputies released images taken from security cameras in the store. The images show a man with a red shirt pulled over his head pointing a shot gun. Another man is seen in the images, dressed in a dark-colored shirt with a light-colored shirt tied around his head and wearing gloves.

One of the men was described as black, 5'9" tall and heavy set, wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, black tennis shoes, a white T-shirt over his head and blue rubber gloves. He also had a beard.

The armed man was described as black, 5'9" tall with a medium build, wearing a red T-shirt with white designs on the front and back, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
