CLINTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A crash involving a tractor-trailer closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 26 Wednesday morning, with cleanup expected to last several hours.

Troopers said a semi truck hit the median, then the guardrail, then a pillar of a bridge near mile marker 54.

No one was injured in the crash, but traffic was being rerouted while crews worked to clear the wreckage, authorities said.

Drivers headed toward Columbia will be routed off I-26 at exit 54 then back onto the interstate.

Troopers said they were not worried about damage to the bridge.

One lane had reopened by 10 a.m. but troopers said it would take until sometime in the afternoon before the inside lane reopened as crews worked to repair the median guardrail.
