SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A boil water advisory was issued for some Spartanburg Water customers Thursday morning after a water main break.

The break has affected water service for customers along Country Club Road from Farragut Drive to Hilton Street, Four Mile Branch Road, Four Mile Branch Lane, and residents within Oak Creek Plantation and Glen Forest Subdivisions.

Customers may experience an interruption in service or reduction of normal water pressure until repairs are completed.

No contamination has been reported in the area.

Spartanburg Water System urges customers to boil water vigorously for at least one minute if intended for drinking or cooking prior to use, and any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.

The advisory is in effect until further notice. Customers can contact Spartanburg Water System with questions.
