SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Deputies said they were called to a Spartanburg apartment complex after a fight between two roommates led to a threat of a shooting Thursday night.
Two roommates at the College Pointe apartments in Spartanburg were having an argument about one the men's girlfriend taking money from him, when the other man allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot his roommate, according to a sheriff's office report.
Deputies responded to the apartment after 9 p.m. when the roommate, his girlfriend and another witness ran out of the apartment.
When deputies tried to get the alleged suspect out, they said he wouldn't open the door and denied being inside the apartment when they called him, according to the report.
Deputies called in the SWAT team to get the man out of the apartment, and after speaking with the negotiator, he came out and was arrested on an assault and battery charge.
