SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Firefighters said a massive fire had already destroyed a Spartanburg home when they arrived on scene Tuesday afternoon.
Una Fire Chief Jeff Hadden said the home was vacant and without power, so they are investigating the blaze as suspicious.
Firefighters were called to the house on Morning Circle, which is near the Westgate Mall, about 1 p.m.

Hadden said when they arrived, it took firefighters about 20 minutes to entirely extinguish the blaze, but when they arrived, the home was already destroyed.
Smoke could be seen nearly a mile away at the fire station, Hadden said.
Hadden said two adjacent houses and a vehicle were damaged by the heat from the fire and firefighters went door to door to make sure neighbors were OK.
Firefighters do not know what started the fire, but Hadden said because it was suspicious, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office investigate.
