BELTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Jail officials said a man deputies were looking for who may have fired shots inside a Belton home Wednesday morning and then ran into some nearby woods has been arrested.

Chad McBride with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home on Longshore Drive about a domestic dispute between a man and a woman. He said that during the dispute, the man threatened the woman with a gun, fired shots inside the home then fled into the woods.

McBride said the SWAT team was called in to establish a perimeter and find the man. That search was called off after a few hours.

McBride identified the suspect as 44-year-old Mark Oliver, who was wanted in connection with the incident. He said Oliver was last seen in the James Cox Road area.

Anderson County Detention Center officials said Oliver was booked into the jail at 4 a.m. on charges of attempted murder and criminal domestic violence. He is scheduled to go before a judge for a bond hearing later on Thursday.

The details about Oliver's arrest were not readily available Thursday morning.
