COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Spartanburg is on a hot streak, according to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
Officials said that in the past month, three top prize winning Palmetto Cash 5 tickets have been sold at three Spartanburg area retailers, netting the winners at total of $400,000.
The most recent win was on Sunday. A Spartanburg County man played his family birth dates at PSM Convenience Store on Sibley Street to win $100,000.
On Sept. 6, a Spartanburg woman won $100,000 by playing her license plate number at the Hot Spot on North Black Stock Road.
The day before that, a Gaffney man won $200,000 by playing his grandchildren's birth dates at the Wilco Hess on East Main Street.
The odds of winning the top prize in the Palmetto Cash 5 game are 1 in 501,942.
Drawings for the game can be watched live on FOX Carolina every day at 6:59 p.m.
