GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said a Crime Stoppers tip led to the discovery of a meth lab at a Greenville County home on Thursday.

Greenville County deputies said they were serving arrest warrants for 24-year-old Benjamin Martin at 7 Ladbroke Ct. when they saw the makings of a methamphetamine lab in plain sight.

Bottles containing sludge, bottles with tubing attached to them, solvents, hypodermic needles and cut open cold packs were on display along with other items, deputies said.

In addition to the initial arrest warrants, deputies charged Martin with manufacturing methamphetamine and disposal of methamphetamine waste, both first offenses.

Deputies said it took investigators five hours to properly clean up the meth lab.

Martin is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on a total of $30,000 bond on the two drug-related charges.
