CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins returned to practice Monday after missing the Tigers' game against Boston College on Saturday because of an illness.

Watkins missed last weekend's game because of an abdominal virus.

Head Coach Dabo Swinney said Watkins' illness was the result of dehydration, kidney trauma he suffered during the Florida State game and a virus.

"Sammy got plenty of rest over the weekend," Swinney said. "He should be able to play on Saturday against Georgia Tech."

Watkins missed the first two games of the season as punishment for his arrest during the off season.
