Deputies said they found a woman who had been held against her will and raped for several days while serving an arrest warrant on a Mountville man.

Laurens County deputies said they were serving the warrant on 35-year-old Christopher Davis of 9014 Hwy. 560 when they found the woman Sept. 28.

The woman told investigators she met Davis on Facebook and he seemed nice, but when she came to visit from Charleston, things changed.

Deputies said when she tried to leave, he wouldn't let her. They said Davis repeatedly beat and raped the woman.

"He became very upset, approached her without saying anything and started beating her," said Sgt. Bobby Galarza, who is investigating the case.

The woman found time to call a friend, who then called 911.

"Once [deputies] got in, they found her in the bedroom scared. She was somewhat dressed and beat up," said Galarza.

One of Davis' neighbors, Jake Brown, told FOX Carolina that he met the woman when she first arrived, and that she even helped Davis cut the grass.

"I asked him, I said do you love her? He said, well, I ain't sure not yet if I love her or not," said Brown.

Deputies said they were familiar with Davis and were serving an arrest warrant for a harassment charge involving a 17-year-old girl.

Davis was also charged with unlawful use of a telephone, criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, assault and battery first-degree and resisting arrest.

If anyone else had contact with Davis or has any additional information on this incident, they are asked to call the Laurens County Sheriff's Office at 864-984-4967 or Crime Stoppers at 864-68-CRIME.
