Calvin Richardson talks with Greg Funderburg about his upcoming album. (Oct. 2, 2012/FOX Carolina)
GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
R & B artist Calvin Richardson made a stop in the Upstate Tuesday afternoon promoting his new single.
He is a Grammy-nominated artist who is about to release a new single next month about love, life and hope.
Richardson was born in South Carolina, but mainly grew up in North Carolina. He told Fox Carolina he is thankful for the support of his many fans, but has some advice for any young music artists who want to fulfill their music dreams.
"I would tell them never take 'no' for an answer," said Richardson. "First, you have to figure out who you are as an artist and have your own identity. It's one thing to aspire to be like someone, but it's better to focus on who you are as an artist."
Richardson's album is expected to be released sometime in mid-November. If you would like to get more information about his music and upcoming appearances, visit his website.
