Wednesday: The system responsible for putting down the rain and creating the storms during the last several days is still bringing clouds over our heads this morning. Those clouds will slowly give way to more sunshine today, especially during the afternoon. Temperatures will rise through the 70s and eventually climb close to 80° this afternoon in Upstate towns. Western NC highs will be from 73°-77° under a partly cloudy sky. No rain will come down.
Thursday - Saturday: Warmer conditions are expected Thursday, Friday and Saturday as sunshine stays out all three days. Upstate & NE Georgia towns can expect highs to range between 79° and 83° each afternoon with Western NC highs in the middle and upper 70s. No rain will fall.
Cold Front Late Saturday: While the timing isn't set in stone, a fresh supply of Canadian air will move into our area at some point late Saturday or early Sunday. Importantly, this looks like a dry front meaning there won't be any sort of rain or precipitation coming along with this one.
Football Forecast - Georgia @ South Carolina: Tailgating before the game may be a little on the warm side as highs approach the low 80s down in Columbia, but with kickoff set for 7:00PM, temperatures will cool off. 70s are expected during the game with no chance for rain. With the cold front moving closer, there's a possibility of some wind playing a factor during the game.
Sunday & Monday: Breezy and much cooler conditions will settle in after the cold front passes. Check out our 7-day graphic on the weather page for info on what those temperatures will be like early next week.
