GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greer police officers along with other officials were searching for a few pit bulls that were on the loose after two men were seen dumping a group of dogs off in the middle of a neighborhood.

At least six pit bulls were dropped off along Alexander Road in Greer, officers said. FOX Carolina crews at the scene said one of the dogs was found dead in the roadway.

Two men in a vehicle dropped the dogs off then fled, according to an eyewitness and officers at the scene.
