GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Funeral arrangements were announced Friday for an elderly Greenville couple who were found dead inside their home Wednesday morning.
Greenville County deputies said the bodies of 78-year-old Gary Wells and his wife, 77-year-old Helen, were found by a friend inside their Terramont Drive home.
An autopsy was performed Thursday, and Coroner Kent Dill said the couple was brutally killed, and both of them died from multiple sharp-force injuries.
"They both had very serious injuries," Dill said. "This was a terrible crime. This was something that none of us would expected to have happened to this family in this location."
