GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Funeral arrangements were announced Friday for an elderly Greenville couple who were found dead inside their home Wednesday morning.

Greenville County deputies said the bodies of 78-year-old Gary Wells and his wife, 77-year-old Helen, were found by a friend inside their Terramont Drive home.

An autopsy was performed Thursday, and Coroner Kent Dill said the couple was brutally killed, and both of them died from multiple sharp-force injuries.

"They both had very serious injuries," Dill said. "This was a terrible crime. This was something that none of us would expected to have happened to this family in this location."

On Friday, Mackey Mortuary in Greenville announced that the Wells' visitation will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. Sunday. Their funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Taylors First Baptist Church.

Deputies have not made any arrests in connection with the couple's death, but said they do not believe there is a threat to the public in connection with this case.
