SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Spartanburg police said an unidentified man fondled a teen who was walking home from a friend's house Friday.
According to a police report, the 16-year-old was walking home along Charlesworth Avenue from a friend's house on Hilda Street when he was approached by a man who tried to touch him.
The report said the man followed the teen, who tried to cut through a backyard of a vacant home along Hilda Street, when the man was able to fondle him.
The teen punched the man and ran home, the report said. The incident happened about 9 p.m. Friday.
Police said the black male was wearing red pajama pants with white circles on them and a red and white shirt. The report also said the man had black hair with a design cut into the left side.
