Waterloo man accused of assault, having stolen camper

LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they arrested a Waterloo man in connection with an assault who also had a camper that was recently reported stolen.

Laurens County deputies said Saturday, 40-year-old Michael Staggs was charged with third-degree assault and battery.

During their investigation, deputies said they found Staggs had the stolen 30-foot camper and also charged him with receiving stolen goods and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Deputies did not release further information about the assault.
