Clinton man shot to death in Fountain Inn

Officers and the coroner investigate a homicide in Fountain Inn. (Oct. 12, 2012/FOX Carolina)

FOUNTAIN INN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Clinton man was found shot to death at an apartment complex in Fountain Inn on Friday morning, and police are trying to determine who killed him.

The shooting happened at Armstrong Apartments on Fairview Street about 6 a.m.

Fountain Inn Police Chief Keith Morton said the man, identified as 51-year-old Terry Samples, was killed at the apartment complex, and his body was found between two cars in the parking lot. He said Samples worked at an industrial complex in Fountain Inn.

"We believe it is an isolated incident," Morton said.

Anyone with information about Samples' death was asked to call the Fountain Inn Police Department at 864-862-4461.
