UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Police want to know who stole some cash and guns from an Upstate museum.
The front window of the Union County Museum on West Main Street was found shattered Thursday morning, and someone stole two handguns on display along with cash donations, police said.
Union police said a Smith and Wesson revolver and a replica gun from the 1850s were stolen.
SLIDESHOW: Thieves break into Union museum
"It's very unfortunate, everything in this museum has been donated by the citizens of Union," said assistant director of the museum Peter Triggiani. "When you steal from this museum, you steal from the citizens of Union, and that's just a very sad thing to do."
Investigators believe the burglary happened about 6 a.m. They ask anyone with information to call the police department.
