Honestly, I'm thinking we WON'T cut on the heat tonight in my house, since it got so warm this afternoon. But, it will be cold tonight nonetheless! Expect mid 40s in the Upstate and around 40 in the mountains! Lots of sunshine on the way for Tuesday and Wednesday, with mild temps. By Thursday we'll be watching for a few showers, mainly in the mountains.
Fall color is peaking in the high elevations now, and will soon peak for Asheville and Hendersonville! Upstate spots will be brilliant and bright by Halloween.
NOAA will release their winter outlook on Thursday, and we'll be posting about that! I have a feeling it will go along with many of the other predictions (including ours at Fox), that it will be cooler and wetter here than normal.
Lastly, we're watching Rafael in the western Atlantic now. It won't threaten the U.S. as it looks now, but we COULD be looking at "Sandy" heading toward Florida in 10-12 days. Something to watch!
