Anderson college student killed while filming for project
ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A college student from Anderson was killed while he was filming for a project Tuesday afternoon.
Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown said 23-year-old Joshua Addis was riding on the hood of a car on Linmar Circle when he slid off the side of the vehicle and hit his head on the pavement, killing him.
McCown said Addis was filming a particular shot that he wanted for a video project in a media class at Tri-County Tech.
The college said Addis was well-liked by both faculty and staff on campus.
"We are shocked and saddened to learn about his death," said Tri-County Tech Public Relations Director Rebecca Eidson. "We are keeping his friends and family in our thoughts during this difficult time."
McCown said Addis' death was ruled accidental.
Charges are not expected to be filed in connection with Addis' death, McCown said.
