Good morning! I'm back after a few days off - I got to check out some of the fall colors in WNC over the past few days, and they are beautiful! Luckily for us, the weather will cooperate through most of the next few days - so if you've got plans to "leaf-peep" this weekend you will have great weather.
This morning Joe Gagnon has been live at Denver Downs in Anderson County. They have a corn maze and a bouncy "blob" that look like a LOT of fun. Denver Downs is open today, and I can't think of better weather to enjoy it than what we have coming today.
Highs will be seasonal this afternoon - temperatures will top out in the low/mid 70s in the Upstate and near 70° in the Mountains. We'll enjoy lots of sunshine, with just a few high, thin cirrus clouds overhead. Pack your sunglasses, because some sun glare could slow down your AM or PM commute!
A cold front will cross tomorrow, bringing some showers early in the day. By tomorrow afternoon, I expect most of the area to dry out and begin to clear out. Highs will drop a few degrees for the end of the week, with sunshine back on tap for Friday. However, winds will pick up on Friday and may be gusty at times.
The weekend will be dry and bright with temps slightly below-normal... so get ready for a "fantastic-ly fall" weekend!
