SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Troopers said they charged a woman in connection with a crash that killed a man Wednesday night.
The crash happened along Woodburn Road in Spartanburg about 8 p.m. Troopers said Patricia Wood Norton, 64, was headed south when she ran off the road, hitting a tree.
A male passenger, identified by the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office as 59-year-old Dave Sanders, of Spartanburg, died in the crash.
Norton was arrested and charged with felony driving under the influence, troopers said. She is being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is also investigating the crash.
