New Greenville Co. plant to create 30 jobs

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Siemens Industry Inc. announced it will open a new plant in Greenville County, creating 30 jobs.

The company, which makes mechanical and electrical drive equipment, announced Thursday that the 455,600-square-foot geared motor facility will be built in Mauldin.

"Announcements like this show we are doing the right things to attract businesses from around the globe to our state," said South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

Local Siemens officials are working with Greenville Technical College on developing its workforce, according to the Greenville Area Development Corporation.
