Police say Spartanburg man stole from local church

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg man is behind bars after police said he stole from a local church.

On Sept. 26, officers were called to an United Methodist Church in Spartanburg where a Troy built vacuum mower was stolen.

According to an arrest warrant, Michael Culbreth, 18, was charged with petit larceny worth less than $2,000 in connection with the theft.

Culbreth is being held at the Spartanburg Co. Detention Center on a $1,000 bond.
