PIEDMONT, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies have identified three suspects who led deputies on a manhunt in Piedmont on Monday after a homeowner interrupted a burglary.

Greenville County deputies said they arrested Alexander Scroggs, 17, and Jason Reid, 35, in connection with the burglary at Emily Lane.

Greenville County deputies said the homeowner arrived at home and noticed some of his belongings outside about 10:40 a.m. He realized someone was breaking in, walked around to the back of his home and saw four people, deputies said.

The man told deputies he approached the subjects, told them police were on their way so they needed to stay put, and that he was armed. When they fled at him in a minivan, he fired shots hitting one of the subjects, deputies said.

Scroggs and Reid were charged with attempted burglary and criminal conspiracy. Reid was also charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature in connection with trying to run the homeowner over.

Scroggs is currently being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond. Reid is also being held in the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.

Warrants have also been issued for Jody Lowe, 30, of Ponce DeLeon Drive in Anderson and attempted burglary and criminal conspiracy, but he has not yet been located.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 271-5210 or call 23-CRIME.
