GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville Road Warriors recorded a 5-2 victory over the South Carolina Stingrays Friday night in their first home game of the season.

South Carolina scored the first goal of the night, just five minutes into the first period. Greenville tied the game two minutes later on a goal from forward Brandon Wong.

Other Greenville goals came from Scott Pitt, Marc-Olivier Vallerand, Francis Verreault and Sean Berkstresser.

Road Warriors' goalkeeper Adam Couchaine kept the Stingrays offense in check for the rest of the night, stopping 28 shots.

Greenville will travel to the Atlanta area on Saturday to face the Gwinnett Gladiators. On Sunday, the Road Warriors will play host to the Gladiators in a 4 p.m. game at the Bi-Lo Center.

As part of the Road Warriors' Sunday Family Fun Day promotion, fans can show their Bi-Lo Bonus Card two hours before Sunday's game and receive up to four free tickets in the Bi-Lo Family Fun Section while supplies last. After the game fans will be able to skate on the rink with their favorite Road Warriors players.
