SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Highway Patrol is investigating an accident in Oconee County that killed a Seneca woman.

Troopers said the crash happened on West Oak Highway where Hunt Road and Coneross Creek Road intersect Sunday about 4:40 p.m.

The Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said 20-year-old Kohleigh Hunt pulled into the path of another vehicle when the car she was driving was hit on the driver's side, putting her in the path of another oncoming car.

The coroner said Hunt died from blunt force trauma to the head. He said she was wearing her seatbelt.

Addis said Hunt was reported to be a senior at Clemson University. Her family told Addis that at the time of the crash, she had just left her nearby home and was en route to visit a friend.
