GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Authorities are investigating a fire they said was intentionally set after smoke was seen coming from a Gaffney law office Sunday.

The Gaffney fire and police departments are investigating the fire as arson at the Victor S. Sarratt Law Offices along E. Buford Street.

Firefighters said it took 45 minutes to get the fire under control and the building suffered heat and smoke damage, but no one was injured in the blaze.

The fire was reported about 6 a.m. when a police officer driving by saw smoke coming from the building, firefighters said.

Firefighters said they found a door forced open when investigating the blaze.
