Deputies discover Waterloo meth lab, pot grow

LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they recently discovered a meth lab and marijuana grow at a home in Waterloo.

Laurens County deputies said they found the illegal narcotics at 250 Whitten Road in Waterloo, where they arrested three people.

On Oct. 17, deputies arrested Jimmy Hopkins, 57, Tina Hopkins, 41, both of 250 Whitten Road, and Jodie Hopkins, 34, of 278 Whitten Road.

Deputies then called in a hazardous materials clean up crew with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

All three suspects were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine waste, and manufacturing/growing marijuana.
