LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - More lane and ramp closures are planned for I-264 at I-71 this coming weekend, November 2 through 4.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says that the entrance ramp from U.S. Hwy 42 to eastbound I-264 approaching I-71 will close from 9 p.m. Friday, November 2 until 5 a.m. Monday, November 4. In addition to this ramp, the exit ramp from eastbound I-264 to northbound I-71 will also be closed.
Drivers should consider alternate routes, including U.S. Hwy 42 east to the Snyder Freeway to access I-71.
Along with the ramp closures, eastbound I-264 will be down to just one lane of traffic between U.S. Hwy 42 and I-71 beginning at 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
KYTC officials say the closures are needed to allow road crews to pave in the areas relating to the new acceleration and deceleration ramps at the I-264 & I-71 interchange.
