3 accused of stealing safe from Clemson dining hall

CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Three Liberty men are accused of stealing a safe from a dining hall at Clemson University.

Clemson University Police said the suspects worked for Clemson Cleaning Services but were not university students or employees when they stole a safe containing cash from an office inside Harcombe Dining Hall.

The theft happened between 11:50 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Police said someone also attempted to take a safe from another office, but it was bolted to the floor.

Jacob Fulmer, 20, Robert Fulmer, 23, and James Smith, 31, were each charged with grand larceny more than $2,000 and criminal conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

All three men have been released on bond.
