GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan arrived in Greenville on Thursday night for a fundraiser scheduled for Friday.

The Wisconsin congressman's airplane touched down at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport at 8:40 p.m. Ryan waved to the cameras as he walked down the steps, shook the hand of a supporter and got into a black sport utility vehicle.

Former South Carolina GOP Chairman Barry Wynn said the fundraiser will be held at the home of Greenville developer Phil Hughes on Friday.

Tickets for the event are reportedly $1,000 each. A photo with Ryan costs $5,000, and a private reception with Ryan costs $25,000.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has also raised money in Greenville. The former Massachusetts governor attended a private fundraiser at a downtown restaurant in August. A plate at that event cost $20,000.
