Anderson County deputies said U.S. Marshals arrested a man who escaped while he was being booked Thursday night.
Chevis Morris was being booked on a bench warrant about 9:30 p.m. when he took off, according to Anderson County sheriff's spokesman Chad McBride.
Deputies said Morris took off in the direction of the Anderson Civic Center. Officers and K-9 units were searching the area.
McBride said the Marshals arrested morris Friday morning at a home on Jackson Street.
Morris will face additional charges in connection with his escape, McBride said.
