Newberry street closed as police clean up meth lab

NEWBERRY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police in Newberry have shut down one road after an active meth lab was discovered Thursday morning.

The Newberry Police Department, Newberry County Sheriff's Office and State Law Enforcement Division executed a search warrant at a home on Floyd Street where the lab was discovered.

Officers closed Floyd Street between Charles and Crosson streets while Hazmat crews and officials cleaned up the area.

Police said they have three people in custody, but their names and charges have not yet been released.
