SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said three people are in custody after they said houseguests left behind the makings of a meth lab at their home where three children lived.

Spartanburg County deputies said they received a tip that a home on McMillan Boulevard in Boiling Springs had a meth lab inside so they went to search it on Wednesday.

When they searched the house they discovered equipment used to make approximately 16 grams of methamphetamine, investigators said.

While at the home, deputies said one child was present while the other two were at school.

Deputies arrested the three adults present. Jefferson Loving, 32, Nakisha Kite, 29, and Kristi Thompson, 32, were each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and neglect of a child. The children were placed with a relative and officials were brought in to clean up the home.
