Upstate business helping to get rid of unwanted Halloween candy

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

If you'd like to get rid of some of your Halloween candy, there's an Upstate business that is taking donations and putting them to good use.

Nutrition Solutions in Greenville County is collecting unwanted candy this week. If you donate the candy you weren't able to give away this year, they will send it to U.S. troops serving overseas.

"We just want to give our members an opportunity to get the candy out of the house. Candy is tempting. Who doesn't like candy? So instead of just throwing it away which is a waste, we take it and try to do something good with it," said Nutritions Solutions spokesperson Mary Mills.

Nutrition Solutions is located on Woodruff Road near the Maxwell Point Shopping Center.
