SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Part of a busy road in Spartanburg County has been shut down Thursday night as firefighters from three area fire departments battled a house fire.
Dispatchers told us firefighters were called to an abandoned home at 3284 Reidville Rd. just before 9:30 p.m.
We're told firefighters pulled water hoses across the road, causing officials to close off that block of Reidville Road.
Officials said a detour has been set up onto Anderson Mill Road and Nazareth Church Road.
Firefighters said they expect the road to reopen shortly after midnight Friday.
An official cause of the fire hasn't been released.
