1 killed in Spartanburg crash

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a moped in Spartanburg on Saturday.

Troopers said the driver of a moped turned left in front of another car at the intersection of Reidville and Oak Grove roads just before 4 p.m.

Troopers said the driver of the moped was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Spartanburg County Coroner's investigator Dwayne Corn identified the driver as 52-year-old Randy Williams of Reidville. Corn said Williams died from head and body trauma.
