Greer woman dies day after Spartanburg Co. crash

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers said a Greer woman died a day after a crash in Spartanburg County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 4:55 p.m. on Brockman McClimon Road on Sunday.

Troopers said the 45-year-old woman was driving west when she ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, driving off the other side of the road and hit a tree. They said she was not wearing a seatbelt.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said the woman was Lorna Wright. He said she was initially taken to the Village at Pelham Hospital and a short time later she was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center where she was died on Monday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
