COWPENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Three people were charged Wednesday after Cherokee County deputies said a church was vandalized and a bus was stolen.

Cherokee County deputies said Jonathan Holcomb and two teens, who were only identified as both being 16 years old, broke several windows of the Oakdale Baptist Church in Cowpens. They said the trio also used paint to deface the outside of the church, spread food all over the inside of the church and stole a bus that was owned by the church.

The bus was later found by deputies in nearby Spartanburg County, according to investigators. They said the windshield of the bus was smashed after someone threw a gallon of paint through it. They said the back window of the bus was also smashed.

Holcomb and the two teens were each charged with second-degree burglary, grand larceny and malicious damage to a place of worship.
