WESTMINSTER, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said a Westminster man died Saturday afternoon, in a tractor accident.
Addis said 68-year-old Furman Blackwell was turning soil over with his tractor near his home on Alice Lane. Addis said when Blackwell went up a slope, the tractor rolled over sideways and landed on top of him.
Addis said Blackwell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Addis said the cause of death is asphyxiation due to a crushing injury. The manner of death has been ruled accidental.
