Jimmy Harrison (Laurens Co. Sheriff's Office)
LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Laurens County deputies said they arrested a Clinton man Monday in connection with the beating and stabbing death of a woman last week.
Deputies said they were called to 59 Malone Dr. on Thursday after a friend found the body of a woman, identified as 60-year-old Debra Malone.
An autopsy revealed that Malone died from multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma to the head, deputies said.
On Monday, deputies said they charged 62-year-old Jimmy Harrison with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in connection with Malone's death.
Harrison was being held in the county jail. He had a bond hearing on Tuesday, where a judge said he will have to see a circuit judge for a bond to be set.
A motive for the crime was not immediately released.
